Meet Platina

The QUAD Platina Series represents the next step in QUAD’s pursuit

of timeless musicality through modern engineering. Developed over

five years under the direction of Peter Comeau, Platina brings

together the brand’s heritage of British hi-fi excellence with cutting-

edge digital and analogue design. Every element of the series —

from circuit topology to chassis construction — was created to

deliver natural, effortless sound with the refinement and authority

that define the QUAD name.

At the core of the lineup is the Platina Integrated Amplifier, a dual-

mono Class AB design delivering 200 W per channel into 8 ohms. Its

powerful, low-distortion output is matched by versatility:

comprehensive analogue and digital connectivity, including USB DAC,

HDMI ARC, balanced XLR inputs, and a high-grade MM/MC phono

stage. Careful component matching and a robust linear power supply

ensure dynamic range, tonal accuracy, and a sense of musical ease

that reflects decades of QUAD amplifier expertise.

Completing the system is the Platina Stream, a purpose-built

network player that integrates seamlessly with the Integrated to form

a complete high-performance ecosystem. Featuring an ESS Sabre

DAC and precision clocking architecture, it supports high-resolution

playback from major streaming services via the dedicated QUAD

Platina Music Control app. Together, the Integrated and Stream

embody QUAD’s enduring mission: to combine faithful sound

reproduction with enduring craftsmanship and modern convenience.
